Scope of Service carrental.is acts as an intermediary to facilitate car rental bookings between customers and car rental providers. Your rental is subject to the specific terms and conditions of the car rental provider, as well as applicable laws of the country where the rental occurs. Rental agreements, including mileage limits, fuel policies, and additional charges, are determined by the provider. Please review their terms carefully during booking.

Changes to Terms We may revise these Terms of Service periodically. Continued use of carrental.is after updates are posted constitutes your agreement to the revised terms.

Permitted Use You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes, including making genuine car rental bookings or inquiries. Fraudulent, speculative, or false bookings are strictly prohibited. Automated access to the site, such as bots or scrapers, is not permitted without our explicit written approval.

Account Responsibilities To make a booking or access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any activities under your account. Accounts are for personal use only. Creating accounts on behalf of others, impersonating others, or maintaining multiple accounts is not allowed.

Pricing and Payments All prices displayed on carrental.is are based on the rates provided by our rental partners at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change until confirmed. carrental.is is not responsible for errors, omissions, or exchange rate discrepancies. Charges are processed in the local currency (ISK) unless otherwise stated. Customers are responsible for any bank or currency conversion fees.

Cancellations and Modifications Bookings may be canceled for a full refund if the cancellation occurs more than 48 hours before the rental period begins. Cancellations within 48 hours of the rental start time are non-refundable. Modifications to bookings, such as changing rental dates, are allowed free of charge if made more than 48 hours in advance. Changes requested within 48 hours may be subject to additional charges. No refunds are provided if you fail to collect the vehicle due to missing documentation, insufficient funds for deposit, or failure to arrive at the pickup location on time.

Liability Disclaimer carrental.is does not operate car rental services directly and cannot be held responsible for accidents, damage, or delays caused by the car rental provider. We are not liable for losses arising from cancellations, downgrades, or service disruptions by the rental provider. Additional charges, such as toll fees, fuel charges, or fines, incurred during the rental period are the customer’s responsibility. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to the use of our website or services.

Prohibited Activities You may not use the website to harass, defraud, or harm others. Content that infringes on third-party rights, contains illegal material, or promotes discrimination or violence is strictly prohibited. Automated tools such as bots or scrapers may not access the website without prior authorization. Activities that disrupt the functionality or security of the website are forbidden.

Termination of Service We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if you violate these terms or misuse the site.
